Why we need to talk about mental health

According to CIPD just over half (56%) of respondents said their organisation is supportive of people’s mental health, while only 52% said their organisation encourages staff to talk openly about mental health problems. 

Lack of transparency about mental health struggles enhances the stigmas surrounding mental health challenges. Leaders within organisations have the opportunity to lead the conversation about mental health and to build strong relationships of trust and openness with their employees.
